Games Behind is for people who love a team but cannot watch every night. Work, kids, time zones, life. You look up in July and you are three weeks behind your own team, and catching up means scrubbing through box scores or reading recaps that assume you saw yesterday.

So we built the thing we wanted: tell it how long you have been gone, and get the story back. Not a stat dump, not a spoiler-filled highlight reel. The stretch you missed, told plainly and in order, short enough to read before your coffee is cold.

An independent fan project

This is not a league product. Games Behind is an independent project, in free beta, with no ads and nothing to sell you yet. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball or any club. Everything you read is built from public league data.

Correct or it does not ship

The one promise we make is accuracy. A catch-up you cannot trust is worse than no catch-up, because you will repeat it to a friend and be wrong. So every voiced summary is checked against the box scores before it reaches you, and anything that fails the check is replaced with the plain, verified numbers. Here is how that works.

Where it is going

Beta follows the San Francisco Giants through 2026. The engine underneath is built to be league-agnostic, so more teams and eventually more sports follow. If you want to be told when your team is ready, leave your email on the home page.
